Spring is Springing Forward! Yay! I just came inside from shooting a video outside and WOW! It’s nice out! Yes I realize that when you get this and read it, it could be cold and rainy, but those cold days are just about over. Everyone loves Spring, primarily because it means… Summer is near!
 
For many across this great country though, it’s still COLD, gray, and snowy! One thing’s for sure, this winter season is coming to an end. It does every year without fail.
 
Some of life’s seasons will be HOT and others will be COLD, some high and some low. The lows we want to move through quickly, while the highs we want to stay in forever. But it’s the low points, those tough times, that have taught me the most. All the experiences from all these seasons make me who I am.

As a self-described ‘Fellow Lover of Holiday Time’, I wanted to share with you some exciting updates for the New Year. It seems most people establish New Year’s resolutions, only to, for whatever reason, fall short of keeping them. Each year I highlight a  great book that helped me and my team dramatically improve our  follow through on achieving important goals and I wanted to share  that with you – as sort of a ‘Happy New Year After Christmas Gift’...  But more on the book later. Some of your friends, neighbors,  associates or relatives may have a New Year’s resolution to make a  move. DIRECTION AND INTENTION, DETERMINES DESTINATION!
 
Not too long ago I heard one of my favorite leaders say these words: “Direction and intention, determines your destination”. That really struck me. I don’t know about you, but it seems daily I battle keeping my mind and feet on a path toward productivity vs just activity. You may have heard me say in past newsletters: Your Routine = Your Results. For me to ensure the right direction of being both productive and valuing others each day, I need to examine my habits. As you know, we can create and establish effective and productive habits but also develop bad habits.
 
So, as I began working on HOW to better help myself, my team and you as we head into a new year, I began by looking at MY habits. It is amazing how you can start out with a great routine of good habits but over time - drift. To hedge against that, I looked back at the habits of the most effective people.

IS IT REALLY THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR?
You know the song, the one that begins “It’s the most wonderful time of the year”? Well, there is something to that. Our current year is coming to a close and as Christmas and other faith-driven holidays approach, we’re given a very special time to give thanks, be joyful, pray for peace and feel hopeful.
If you look around, you’ll notice this Spirit of Giving exceeds any other time of the year. But why can’t it be this way everyday, every year? I think it can. It just takes intention and a little effort. Here’s what we’re doing and how you can help. As we look forward to the holidays with anticipation, some homeowners are less than enthusiastic because they feel trapped. They desperately need to exit their current place and give themselves a big Christmas Gift - a NEW place to call home.

November brings with it an extraordinary opportunity to say ‘Thank You’ for being a valuable part of our business. As we begin to prepare for the holiday season, plan Thanksgiving get-togethers and reflect on the year, it’s so easy to become wrapped up in the busyness of planning fun, joyful events for all, that we can become overwhelmed and lose sight of our gratitude. Remember, Gratitude is an Attitude. The magic of Thanksgiving comes from holding that in our hearts and minds. Unfortunately, there are many homeowners who are desperate to exit their current home and actually loathe this time of year, as it adds to the frustration of not being settled for the holidays. You may know someone or a family that fits this description.
